Peter Moran, Former Publisher Of Cloud Strategy Magazine, Passes Away At 73
Peter Moran, 73, the former publisher of Cloud Strategy, died May 24, 2017 in Westerly, RI.
Peter joined BNP Media, owner of Cloud Strategy, Mission Critical and 50 more B2B magazines, in 1988 as eastern advertising manager. In 1992, he was promoted to publisher of Engineered Systems Magazine, a sister publication of Mission Critical. In 2000, Peter was named publisher of Energy User News after its acquisition by BNP Media. After EUN was shuttered in 2008, Mission Critical Magazine was created and then later, Cloud Strategy was created to highlight the growing cloud computing industry in the data center. Peter retired in August 2016 after 30 years in the business.
Peter is survived by his wife, Eileen (O’Neill) Moran; his three daughters, Kimberly Finn (Rob) of Larchmont, New York; Meredith Carre (Steve) of Darien, CT; and Courtney St. Clair (Duncan) of Mamaroneck, New York; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Cecelia Moran.
He was interred at River Bend Cemetery in Westerly, RI.
